Now that’s breaking a creative rut.
With the new year approaching, many will be making resolutions: lose weight, find love, finish that dream project… but who actually follows through with it? In an article on Wired, we see a great idea from a creative force in the animation industry. Pixar animator Everett Downing decide to break out of a creative rut with a great idea: create a superhero a day for a year.
Of course, it sounded like a great idea, but one year turned into three…but he hasn’t stopped yet. So far, he has created 285 heroes and villains, and says that 2013 will be the year he finishes it. His designs are great, and more importantly, they keep the creative juices flowing. Check out the whole Wired article at the link above, and check out all the designs HERE.
