Spider-Man is swinging all the way to the bank.

The Amazing Spider-Man raked in $35 million on its opening day, the best opening day for a Tuesday, dethroning Transformers record from 5 years ago. That number includes the $7.5 million brought in off of the midnight showings. Sony and Marvel must be thrilled on this 4th of July, as it looks to be a successful reboot.
