Things are beginning to really heat up in this issue,of Riftworld Legends and it’s clear that this is still just the beginning! Big thing are sure to come for this spectacular series!

Again, the writing from Williams is excellent, as he weaves the two storylines perfectly, crafting them in a way that gives the past events significance that is on par with the events of the present. Fiona continues to learn about the adventures of her great grandfather Jackie, as well as Thora, whose significance seems to be growing every issue. There’s also another, perhaps even more important, story being told by Fiona’s grandmother. Fiona learns of some potential consequences and dangers, setting the stage for what will surely be an increase in stakes as the series progresses. As for Jackie and Thora’s respective stories, they are just as interesting, making for an issue that doesn’t skip a beat, and is consistently enthralling throughout. There’s really a lot going on in this issue, and they do a great job in making sure that it doesn’t feel rushed. The pacing is great, every aspect of the story has its own development, and not a single part feels overshadowed by the others. By the end, you’re left wanting more, especially with the eerie last panel that definitely gets the speculative juices flowing.

And of course, needless to say, the art by Daniel Wong and coloring by Nino Vecia once again live up to the task of immersing the reader in an exciting yet unfamiliar world, adding an amazing visual to an amazing story.

If you haven’t yet started, you’re definitely missing out. I’d suggest you get started, and catch up in time for the next issue; things just keep getting better and better!
