Action Figure Review: BST AXN Slash

When The Loyal Subjects announced they were shifting gears into the 5-inch action figure game, I have to admit; I had my doubts. They were leaving behind their super cool 3-inch vinyl figures that everyone loved, so shifting gears like that was a big deal. But man, let me tell you, the BST AXN line they came up with is mind-blowing. And now, they’ve brought us Slash from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Talk about a mutated menace!

Let me break it down for you. This figure takes the turtle’s body to a whole new level. It’s like they pumped it up with steroids or something because the muscles on this guy are insane. And the articulation? No hindrances whatsoever. You can pose this bad boy in any action-packed stance you can imagine. Plus, they nailed the details. Slash’s spiked shell looks like it’s ripped right out of the classic cartoon. It’s wild.

But wait, there’s more! Slash comes with a bunch of awesome accessories. You get a bunch of different hands to swap out, so you can give him the perfect grip for whatever epic weapon you choose. And speaking of weapons, they went all out in the sci-fi department. You’ve got multiple guns that look like they came straight from a futuristic battle. And just when you thought it couldn’t get any cooler, there’s a freakin’ metal backpack! I don’t know what it’s for, but it adds that extra touch of badassery.

I have to hand it to The Loyal Subjects; they knocked it out of the park again with Slash. Slash was always one of my favorites as a kid, so seeing him join this lineup is like a dream come true. Now, I can’t help but wonder: will we ever get the more turquoise, monstrous version of Slash? Man, I hope so. That would be off the charts!
