Action Figure Review: Joy Toy Skeleton Forces-Grim Reaper’s Vengeance (Type C)

For this review, I take a look at the Joy Toy Skeleton Forces-Grim Reaper’s Vengeance (Type C) figure. If you aren’t familiar with Joy Toy, think premium G.I. Joe figures. I have checked out a few Joy Toy figures in the past and have been very impressed, this one is no different.

Grim Reaper’s Vengeance comes in the window-box standard Joy Toy box and comes with a gun, shield, hatchet, and more, as well as the iconic skull helmet that fits over the civilian head. The figure boasts armor, an exoskeleton that connects to all of his limbs, a harness, and more. This is a sturdy, well-built figure with an amazing amount of articulation. I was a bit worried when I saw the skull helmet was indeed a helmet and not a separate head, but the helmet fits extremely well and doesn’t look out of place.

The pose-ability with this one is amazing, and he photographs amazingly well. I love how Joy Toy does a softer plastic for the hands, making it easy for weapons to fit right in. He scales very well with other 1/18th scale figures, like Acid Rain and the pictured Boss Fight Zombie Cop. I don’t really have any downside to the figure- the exoskeleton hinders the articulation in a minor way, but that’s about it.

This is an excellent figure, one I think most 1/18th scale collectors would love to get their hands on or find under the tree this Christmas.
