Action Figure Review: Super7 Ultimates Conan (Iconic Movie Pose)

By Nolan P Smith

By Crom! Super7 has done it again; as a new Conan the Barbarian figure has hit the shelves, this time releasing a figure based on the iconic movie pose from the 1982 film Conan the Barbarian.

When a film is 38 years old and is still having merchandise and action figures based on it, that is the classic definition. Super7 has created, in my opinion, a classic action figure of everyone’s favorite silver screen Barbarian. It starts with the packaging, which Super7 has perfected. The window box packaging with the textured slipcase is the perfect way to present this figure to consumers. The figure is 7-inch scale and loaded with articulation, including ab crunch and waist swivel. The figure itself is a work of art- they nailed the Arnold Schwarzenegger likeness, the articulation all works and looks great, and the paint apps are spot on. The figure comes with an extra set of hands, an interchangeable head, a different necklace, and the impressive Atlantean sword.

This is where I usually go through the cons of the figure- what lowered its rating, what needs improvement. Well, for Conan, I have no suggestions to improve the figure. There are no flaws to it, no weak joints or awkward articulation, no mismatched paint apps- everything works wonderfully. This is one of the best figures I have received in 2021, and it will be tough to beat. If you are a Conan enthusiast, you owe it to yourself to add the best action figure version of the character to date to your collection.
