Anthony Mackie, known this year for his role in Abraham Lincoln-Vampire Hunter and known to us here at Pastrami Nation as Papa Doc from his role in 8 Mile, is indeed in talks to play The Falcon in Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

The Falcon was Marvel’s first black superhero, who fought alongside Captain America for years, and is a bonafide, card carrying Avenger. With the Falcon and Winter Soldier already linked to Cap sequel, Marvel fans should be ecstatic. I know I am.
