(Victorville)— When the Avengers film hit, nothing was ever the same. Since then, we have had the massive box office hit known as Iron Man 3 and the superb Thor: The Dark World. Now, it’s time for the sentinel of liberty to jump back into the spotlight with Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Chris Evans is back again as everyone’s favorite man out of time, Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America. The world has changed, and Cap is trying to figure it all out as he works for Marvel’s intelligence agency, S.H.I.E.L.D. Back for the film are the Russian spy/hero Black Widow (Scarlet Johansson) and the head of S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). The story revolves around a new threat in the form of the Winter Soldier, an enigma of an assassin that few have ever seen. The Marvel Cinematic Universe gets rocked to its core with this sophomore outing for Marvel’s first Avenger.

As to where the first movie focused on Cap’s past, this one bridges the gap to the future. The action has more impact, the storyline reads more like a thriller than a super hero action flick, and by the end of the film, you can’t help but feel satisfied (PS-stay after both end credits). From beginning to end, this film will keep you entertained all while on the edge of your seat. Marvel has hit another home run with this one, setting the bar high for future films such as the Guardians of the Galaxy and, of course, Avengers: Age of Ultron.

I cannot recommend this film enough: if you have loved the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far, then this is a no brainer. Captain America: The Winter Soldier leads the good fight and wins with a KO, or a NINE out of 10.
