Dark Horse Comics Mourns the Loss of Writer and Friend

By Staff Reports

Dark Horse Comics is devastated by the news of Anthony Bourdain’s passing. The Dark Horse family greatly enjoyed working with him and Joel Rose on Hungry Ghosts. The friendship between the co-writers was something to behold, which is evident in the caliber of their writing. We are honored to have worked with him. Our condolences and thoughts go out to his family, friends, and all who loved and admired him. We will forever remember him as a captivating storyteller, a kind man, and fantastic chef. His loss is felt across the company. For now, we’ll leave you with some of our favorite quotes from Anthony. We’ll all endeavor to live by his words.

“Without experimentation, a willingness to ask questions and try new things, we shall surely become static, repetitive, moribund.”—Anthony Bourdain

“If I’m an advocate for anything, it’s to move. As far as you can, as much as you can. Across the ocean, or simply across the river. The extent to which you can walk in someone else’s shoes or at least eat their food, it’s a plus for everybody. Open your mind, get up off the couch, move.”—Anthony Bourdain
