Emerald City Comic Con Unveils 2023 Panel Schedule

Emerald City Comic Con is returning to the Seattle Convention Center on March 2-5, 2023 to celebrate its 20th anniversary with a robust lineup of special guests, panelists, exhibitors, and more. ECCC today unveiled the 2023 programming slate full of can’t-miss content for every type of pop culture fan along with this year’s vibrant new key art that will be seen across merchandise and promotional materials.

In celebration of the event’s 20th anniversary this year, ECCC has partnered with comic artist Kevin Wada, best known for his high-fashion character illustrations for Marvel and DC Comics, to create a special-edition anniversary poster. A love letter to the cosplayers of ECCC set against some of Seattle’s most iconic landmarks and the new Seattle Convention Center Summit Building, the key art is a heartfelt depiction of the attendees who are the heart and soul of the con.

What’s Your Favorite Scary Movie? Scream Cast Reunion

27 years and 6 movies later- Scream helped changed the [ghost]face of horror forever. Join the Neve Campbell, Matthew Lillard, Skeet Ulrich and Jamie Kennedy from the original cast as they discuss the franchises legacy and talk about their time in one of the most iconic horror movies to date!

Hit the Stage: K-Pop Dance Cover Contest

Hosted by K!Junkies, the K-Pop dance contest “Hit The Stage” is making its debut at Emerald City Comic Con! Witness all the talented K-Pop dance experts as they battle it out on stage for a chance to be on top!

Humberto Ramos: An in-depth conversation with the iconic Marvel creator

Dive into the singular creativity of artist Humberto Ramos. Known for his work on Spider-Man, Impulse, and recently Stranfe Academy for Marvel, Ramos has one of the most singularlt recognizable styles. Come learn the secrets behind it, as discussed with Popverse’s Ashley Victoria Robinson.

Jeff Smith: An in-depth conversation with a master cartoonist

Join Jeff Smith as he tells his story behind the fantastical story of the seminal comics series Bone (and its upcoming sequel), as well as his other works such as RASL, Tuki Saves the Humans, and Shazam! In this intimate conversation with Popverse editor-in-chief Chris Arrant, Smith will share anecdotes about everything from the boys of Bone to the struggles of being an indie cartoonist and a household name now for those who love comics.

Sunday, March 5, 12:45pm-1:45pm (Room 323-325)

At ECCC, fans can interact with award-winning comic artists, anime creators, and their favorite TV and film stars, all while celebrating pop culture with other fans and discovering exclusive merchandise and unique artwork. Recently announced guests for this year’s show include David Tennant (Doctor Who, Good Omens), Our Flag Means Death cast members Rhys Darby, Samba Schutte and Vico Ortiz, Mara Wilson (Matilda), Scream stars Neve Campbell, Matthew Lillard, Skeet Ulrich and Jamie Kennedy, and The Mandalorian cast members Katee Sackhoff, Mercedes Varnado, and Simon Kassianides. Fans can explore the Show Floor, experience an array of panels, check out their favorite or discover new creators on Artist Alley, and meet some of their favorite on-screen talent in real life! 

Tickets are now on sale for ECCC 2023, with digital ticket options available for fans who are unable to attend in person. Fans who purchase a Popverse Fan or Superfan Membership will also have digital access to ECCC. For $65/year, Popverse Fans can stream select ECCC panels live or on-demand, along with programming from C2E2, MCM Comic Con, and New York Comic Con. As Superfans, members also receive first access to purchase autographing sessions, photo ops, and exclusive merchandise throughout the year for $99 annually.
