Former WWE Manager Paul Bearer Passes Away

It is with deep regret that we report that former WWE Manager Paul Bearer, real name William Moody, passed away this evening.

WWE.com reported the news late Wednesday, which has been a shock to not only the wrestling world, but the world as a whole. Those familiar with Moody and his character, Paul Bearer, know how instrumental he was in the industry, as he is no doubt one of the best managers to grace the squared circle. The longtime manager of the Undertaker, Moody also managed the big red monster, Kane. Moody reportedly passed away approximately five hours ago: he would have been 59 next month.

I remember seeing the Undertaker debut on TV with Paul Bearer as his voice and mentor. Bearer made the whole dynamic of the Undertaker more believable, more eerie, and more memorable. Our condolences go out to Moody’s family, his friends, and everyone affected by this tragic loss. Rest in Peace, Mr. Moody.
