Fans at OTAKON Vegas were ecstatic when Aniplex of America announced at their industry panel today that their fan-favorite title, KILL la KILL will be debuting on TOONAMI™ starting on February 7th from 11:30PM (EST/PST). TOONAMI™ is the animation programming block that airs on Adult Swim each Saturday night.

KILL la KILL is a totally original anime series directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi and written by Kazuki Nakashima—the same dream-team that brought anime fans the revolutionary title GURREN LAGANN. Since its simulcast debut in October 2013, this action-packed series was extremely well received by critics and fans alike. Otaku USA Magazine applauded KILL la KILL as a series that “will remind you

why you became a fan of anime in the first place,” and KOTAKU’s Richard Eisenbeis praised it as being a “rare breed of anime,” and how its innovative storyline “perfectly mixes comedy and action while reveling in taking everything to the extreme.”

The English dub of KILL la KILL, which was originally only available to its fans through the home video releases, boasts a star-studded cast including Erica Mendez (Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic), Carrie Keranen (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Fate/Zero), Christine Marie Cabanos (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Blue Exorcist), David Vincent (Blue Exorcist), Matt Mercer (Fate/Zero, Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic), Patrick Seitz (Sword Art Online), Stephanie Sheh (Blue Exorcist, Sword Art Online), Todd Haberkorn (Sword Art Online, Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic) and many more talented voice actors.

Hideki Goto, President of Aniplex of America Inc., expressed his excitement for this title’s national television debut. “KILL la KILL is a very unique anime series that I’m sure will capture the hearts of so many fans in the U.S. Many people enjoyed the Japanese dub during the simulcast so I’m glad we have this opportunity to share the English dub with them too.”
