L.A. COMIC CON ADDS MARVEL SUPERSTAR, SIMU LIU, TO ITS STAR-STUDDED LINE-UP OF ICONIC SPEAKERS, REPRESENTING THE HOTTEST TALENT IN THE COMIC UNIVERSE FOR 2022 CON

L.A. Comic Con, Los Angeles’ largest event for comics, gaming, sci-fi, anime and pop culture, has announced that Simu Liu, who plays Shang-Chi in 2021 Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, will be its headline speaker on Friday, December 2, 2022. He and the other celebrity guests will meet with fans, take part in panels, and be available for selfies and autographs. L.A. Comic Con’s 2022 show is set to take place December 2 – 4. 2022 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Newest confirmed guests include Elijah Wood and Sean Astin of Lord of the Rings as well as Wil Wheaton of Star Trek: Next Generation, who will be the headline speakers on Saturday, December 3, 2022.

Simu Liu is also known for his performance as Jung Kim in the award-winning CBC Television sitcom Kim’s Convenience and his versatility as an actor in the diverse roles he has played. He also received ACTRA Awards and Canadian Screen Awards nominations for his work in Blood and Water. Elijah Wood is best known as Frodo Baggins in the Lord of the Rings film trilogy and in The Hobbit series of films, among other roles that demonstrate his range of talents. Sean Astin, who played the kind-hearted, pure, and loyal Hobbit, Samwise Gangee, has racked up over 160 acting roles since age 10. Wil Wheaton, also known as Wesley Crusher on the television series Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987), first gained international attention by starring in the Rob Reiner comedy-drama film Stand by Me (1986).

The list of entertainment stars speaking and meeting with fans at LA Comic Con also includes Sean Schemmel, known as the voice of Goku from Dragon Ball Z, Tia Ballard from Fairy Tail, Kamisama Kiss, and Fruits Basket;  Ian Sinclair from Dragonball Super, My Hero Academia, and Kakkai Sense; Kyle Phillips known for My Hero Academia, Infinite Dendrogram, and One Piece; and Sonny Strait of Dragonball Z, Full Metal Alchemist, and One Piece.
