L.A. COMIC CON TO FEATURE STAR TREK LEGEND, WILLIAM SHATNER, AS A HEADLINER AT 2022 CON

L.A. Comic Con, Los Angeles’ largest event for comics, gaming, sci-fi, anime and pop culture, has announced that William Shatner, the legendary Star Trek actor who played James T. Kirk in The Original Series, will be its headline guest on Sunday, December 4, 2022. William Shatner will partake in a main stage panel, sign autographs for fans, and participate in photos ops. L.A. Comic Con’s 2022 show is set to take place December 2 – 4. 2022 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Other confirmed guests include Elijah Wood and Sean Astin of Lord of the Rings as well as Ming-Na Wen and Giancarlo Esposito of The Mandalorian.

Comic Con’s parent company. “He is consistently one of the most requested guests by our fans, and it goes without saying how influential Shatner’s depiction of Captain Kirk has been on pop culture for two generations. Mr. Shatner’s role as James T. Kirk is central to the Star Trek franchise— having starred in every episode of Star Trek: The Original Series, while continuing the role in subsequent depictions such as Star Trek: The Animated Series and the first seven Star Trek movies. His role of Kirk in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan earned him a Saturn Award for Best Actor. In 2009, IGN ranked Captain Kirk, as depicted in the original series and films, as the number one character of the Star Trek universe.
