Mad Cave Studios 2022 Talent Search

Mad Cave’s 5th Annual Talent Search is underway! Submissions are now open to aspiring creators all across the globe to grant the opportunity of having their work published. Best of all, this is the first time that submissions are open for colorists and letterers!  

Mad Cave is searching for two writers, two illustrators, two colorists, and two letterers to work on an upcoming project. This search is specifically for diverse, underrepresented talent with a unique voice that has never worked with or been distributed by a major publisher.

Each submission should be based on one of Mad Cave Studios’ titles: Battlecats, Honor and Curse, Nottingham, Stargazer, etc… Each creator can send one submission, but keep in mind that the project you could potentially be working on, may or may not be set in the same universe as your submission. Example: To any artist who chooses to submit an entry for only Battlecats; any series that you may potentially be working on may or may not feature anthropomorphic creatures.

The contest began on May 1st, 2022, and runs through July 1st, 2022. Each entry will be considered by every member of our editorial team at Mad Cave Studios. 

Eight winners (two writers, two illustrators, two colorists, and two letterers) will be announced July 21st 2022. Submit through the Mad Cave Studios’ 2022 Talent Search: Submission Form here. Only submissions that follow the guidelines and are submitted using the form will be reviewed. Mark Irwin, the VP of Business Development, will also be reviewing portfolios at Megacon (May 19-22), Awesome Con (June 3-5), and Heroes Con (June 24-26).
