Super7 has carved out a legendary reputation with its Ultimates line, bringing fan-favorite franchises like Transformers, Godzilla, Thundercats, and G.I. Joe to life with stunning detail and nostalgic flair. Today, I’m taking a closer look at two new additions to their G.I. Joe Ultimates roster—Python Patrol Destro and Tiger Force Flint, representing two of the most memorable faction variants from the franchise’s rich history.
These two troopers bring back a wave of ’90s jungle-themed nostalgia, with unique uniforms, mission-specific gear, and some serious shelf presence. Let’s break down both figures and see who comes out on top.
Packaging & Presentation
As always, Super7 kills it with the packaging. Each figure comes in a colorful window box with jungle battlefield art, hinting at the tactical, camouflaged world of Python Patrol and Tiger Force. The packaging features easter eggs and artwork on all sides, making it a collector’s item in itself.

Python Patrol Destro: Cobra’s Cool-Headed Arms Dealer
Pros:
- Bold, clean paint applications, especially on the metallic head sculpt
- Extra screaming head sculpt for dynamic display
- Classic Cobra-style weapons loadout (gun, rocket launcher, wrist rockets)
- Overall solid sculpt and animated-style look
Cons:
- No ab crunch, which limits posing range
- Wrist rockets don’t stay attached well, and some were bent in packaging
- Limited expressiveness despite cool gear
While Destro looks fantastic and serves as a standout piece visually, the lack of certain articulation points and a few accessory flaws hold him back slightly. Still, he’s a strong Cobra entry in the Ultimates line.
Rating: 4.0 Pastrami Nations out of 5.

Tiger Force Flint: Field-Ready & Fully Loaded
Pros:
- Comes with three head sculpts, including one with a removable beret
- Loaded with accessories: multiple guns, backpack, binoculars, radio, and more
- Ab crunch and smooth articulation make for excellent poseability
- Paint apps are sharp and true to the vintage inspiration
Cons:
- All head sculpts have similar neutral expressions—missing opportunity for more emotion
Flint steals the show with sheer versatility and an insane amount of gear. His poseability is top-tier for an Ultimates figure, and he looks great in any Tiger Force display. The only real drawback? His expressions could use more variety for dramatic shots.
Rating: 4.5 Pastrami Nations out of 5.
Final Thoughts
These two figures are solid additions to the G.I. Joe Ultimates collection. While Destro leans more toward aesthetic display with slight articulation limitations, Flint delivers on all fronts—functionality, accessories, and fun factor.
Whether you’re team Cobra or team Joe, these jungle-ready heroes deserve a place in your lineup. No QC issues, no loose joints—just great plastic heroes ready for battle.
