Introduction: Enter the Revolution

Get ready to dive into a thrilling new universe! Mad Cave Studios is launching an exciting new series this fall with Revolution 9, an assassin-driven story that’s part of a larger, interconnected universe. Whether you’re a newcomer or a long-time fan of Mad Cave, this standalone tale will have you hooked. With issue #1, the action kicks off in a big way, and to keep it on theme—it’s an absolute hit.

Story and Plot: A Rogue Assassin on the Run

Brought to life by Mad Cave’s CEO, Mark London, and the stellar art team of Carlos Reno, colorist Jao Canola, and letterer Dave Sharpe, Revolution 9 introduces us to the shadowy Order of Nine. This ancient Order has deep historical roots, and its elite assassin, Velveteen, is tasked with shaping the future through targeted eliminations. But when her latest mission involves taking out hacker Jasper Dean, Velveteen defies the Order, going rogue and setting the stage for a heart-pounding thriller.

Each page is suspenseful, pulling readers into a dangerous cat-and-mouse game. London’s writing is sharp and gripping, making every twist and turn feel essential. This first issue is a fantastic start to what promises to be an explosive series.

Artwork: Fast-Paced and Dynamic

The art in Revolution 9 perfectly matches the story’s intensity. Carlos Reno’s visuals keep the action moving at breakneck speed, capturing both the high-octane fight scenes and the tense moments of quiet before the storm. Jao Canola’s colors enhance the atmosphere, adding depth and vibrancy to each scene, while Dave Sharpe’s lettering keeps the dialogue clear and engaging without distracting from the visuals. Together, this creative team delivers a cinematic experience that feels perfect for today’s comic book landscape.

Final Thoughts: A Must-Read Thriller

Revolution 9 #1 is a fast-paced, action-packed thrill ride that keeps you turning the pages. With its gripping plot, memorable characters, and a story that fits into Mad Cave’s larger Underworld universe, this series is shaping into something special. It’s also a great reminder that plenty of creativity can be found outside of Marvel and DC. If you’re looking for a new comic to get excited about, Revolution 9 should be on your radar.
