S.H. Figuarts Yu Yu Hakusho: Yusuke Urameshi

It’s 2025, and I’m diving back into two of my favorite worlds: anime and S.H. Figuarts figures. What better way to celebrate than with a figure from one of the greatest anime series of all time—Yu Yu Hakusho? Bandai Tamashii Nations kicks off their Yu Yu Hakusho line with none other than the Spirit Detective himself, Yusuke Urameshi, and it’s everything I hoped for and more.
Growing up, DragonBall Z was my gateway anime, but when it ended, my brothers and I discovered Yu Yu Hakusho. The series, with its Spirit Detectives and intense Dark Tournament saga, quickly became a classic in our household and an all-time favorite for me. When I heard about this new figure line, I knew I had to get on board, and Yusuke’s debut does not disappoint.
This figure captures Yusuke in his iconic Dark Tournament look, and it’s packed with incredible details and accessories. It includes interchangeable faceplates and even alternate hairstyles, seven interchangeable hands (including the iconic Spirit Gun pose), Spirit Gun effect parts, and Yusuke’s adorable spirit beast, Puu.
The craftsmanship here is top-notch. The articulation is smooth and well-engineered, making dynamic posing a breeze. The interchangeable expressions add personality and are easy to swap, allowing fans to recreate key moments from the anime. This figure feels like the definitive Yusuke Urameshi—something I’ve dreamed of as a fan.
Looking ahead, I’m thrilled for the rest of the line. Younger Toguro is already up for preorder, and I’m crossing my fingers for a classic Toguro design and a Chu figure ready for a knife-edge death match with Yusuke. The potential for this line is massive, and I’m fully on board.
This Yusuke figure is easily one of the best S.H. Figuarts releases I’ve ever seen. It’s a must-have for Yu Yu Hakusho fans and collectors alike.
