SDCC 2012: Eisner Award Winners!

and the Eisner goes to…

It’s the biggest awards ceremony of the year for the comic book industry, The Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards, known better as simply the Eisners. It is the night to honor the best and brightest for the year, and to see who won was an amazing time.To give you a glimpse at how a few companies did, take a look at the quick breakdown below, followed by the full list of winners.

Dark Horse: 5 Awards

Now, when you go through the list and think “I never heard of this! This sucks!”, stop for a moment and look at it this way: THESE are the books you NEED to check out. Personally, I cannot recommend Waid’s Daredevil enough, as well as one of my favorite books of the year, Archaia’s Tale of Sand. Dark Horse’s Green River Killer shows that the art form of comics can be used to tell any tale, and it does so masterfully. I have personally read and reviewed around half of these books, so look for the reviews to be re-posted soon in honor of their prestigious awards. A huge congrats to all those who won, and those who were nominated. A very deserving group of nominee this year, make sure to check them out!
