It’s a slice of life.

Sina Grace, the artist behind the hit Lil’ Depressed Boy and former Editor for the books by The Walking Dead’s Robert Kirkman, is now striking out on his own with Not My Bag, an original graphic novel that hits stores in October. According to the Image Comic’s press release, NOT MY BAG chronicles the six months of Grace’s life that he spent as a sales associate in an upscale department store. Grace tries to cater to both customers’ taste and the demands of his management, all while the ghosts of relationships past haunt him and his artistic dreams wait for the bills to be paid.

“Not My Bag is a celebration of all of my passions: comic books, fashion, and the gothic genre,” said Grace via the press release. “Image Comics sees what I see in this book, and I’m excited to share something that is my unabashed love letter to funny books… by way of retail hell.”

Grace has impressed me with his art in Lil’ Depressed Boy, and being a longtime member of the retail world, I am all for this book. Look for it to hit stores October 10th. For more information on Image Comics, make sure to visit them online HERE.
