The legend lives on.

The Legend of Luther Strode #1, the debut issue to the sequel of Image Comics smash hit The Strange Talent of Luther Strode, has officially sold out. This is no surprise, as the issue showed that there is a lot more stories to be told about the tragic masked man. Check out the press release below, and check out the review of the issue from Pastrami Nation HERE.

The eponymous Luther Strode makes his first appearance in the THE LEGEND OF LUTHER STRODE #1 as a fist bursting through a closed door — and through a man’s head. Justin Jordan’s and Tradd Moore’s creation, first introduced to the world in 2011 in THE STRANGE TALENT OF LUTHER STRODE has come far indeed. Now, THE LEGEND OF LUTHER STRODE #1 has sold out at the distributor level and will receive a second printing (NOV128050), to be in stores on January 9.

A sequel to a much-anticipated cult favorite, THE LEGEND OF LUTHER STRODE #1 fulfilled critics’ expectations of Jordan’s and Moore’s break-out work:

“Can someone so far gone into his own world be redeemed of his actions, however horrific they may be, if they’re for a better world? “Legend” is essentially the much darker version in which most of the questions of “Strange Talent” are skewed through a lense covered in entrails, and the mixture of smart introspection and terrific action let the first entry into the second part of the Luther Strode trilogy a great kick-off.”
– Multiversity Comics

“The Legend of Luther Strode has begun like a furious freight train with its brakes cut. As we all know, once something starts so wrathfully the pace must heighten or risk becoming stagnant. Being familiar with this team’s past work, the likelihood of this book slowing down is slim. If The Legend of Luther Strode #1 is any indicator of how things will progress for this book in the future, get ready for one completely mind-blowing experience.”
