The Office Ends with Season 9, Bryan Cranston to Direct an Episode
All good things must come to an end… that’s what she said!
The news broke this week that the next season of NBC’s The Office will be its last. Reuters stated in an article that the ninth season will indeed be the last, and they plan to go out in style.
Greg Daniels, Executive Producer of The Office, stated:
“This will be the last season of ‘The Office’ and we are planning a very big exciting last season. We are going to have a lot of familiar faces coming back.
Now, I know I’m not aline when I say that The Office hasn’t been the same since Steve Carrell’s Michael Scott left. Sure, we have had some funny moments with Dwight, Gabe and the rest of the gang, but the essence of the show is gone. Plus, with a spin off in the works for everyone’s favorite beet farmer, Dwight K. Schrute (Rainn Wilson), as well as Kelly (Mindy Kaling) having her own show on FOX, this is the time to end it. So what better way to end it than with… Breaking Bad’s Walter White?
That’s right, Bryan Cranston, the depressing man turned drug kingpin in AMC’s Breaking Bad, will direct an episode for The Office’s final season. Here is the tweet/instagram from Rainn Wilson:
Make sure to tune in to NBC this fall for the send off season for one of the greats.
