The Walking Dead Review- Thank You
Review by Nolan P. Smith
(Victor Valley)—This week’s episode of The Walking Dead is the most shocking episode this season- and dare I say, more shocking than any episode last season either. Titled “Thank You”, this episode tugs at the heartstrings and leaves a lot up in the air.
This time, the focus is clearly on the group that was herding out the zombies, and what is happening there rather than the Wolves attack we saw in Alexandria. Rick (Andrew Lincoln) has taken off to get closer to the home base, but going solo has it’s risks. Michonne and Glenn lead the others to try and catch the heard of the undead heading to Alexandria, and the others still leading the majority of the zombies.
But the episode picks up when Glenn and Nicholas separate from the group to try and draw off the undead- we see how those two cope with the nightmarish scenario, we see how Michonne deals with two wounded in the group zombies attack the pet store they are held up in, and we see Rick deal with some extremely surprising situations, leading right up to an excellent cliffhanger.
We see some major violence here, and some really humanizing moments- we see past the “Walking Dead” feel and see the scenarios exactly how they are- this is hell on Earth. A major death takes place, but did it really? There are a few scenarios going around that would lead us to believe a certain character might still be alive and kicking- I know fans everywhere would love this. But even if this is the end of a pivotal character, this was an amazing episode to what is becoming one of my favorite seasons thus far.
Rating- Let’s give this amazing episode what it deserves- a FIVE star salute as we ride into the sunset. 5 out of 5. Thank you, The Walking Dead.
