Top 5 Action Figures of 2025

It was a great year for action figures in 2025- and we have selected our Top 5 of the year, in no particular order!
S.H. Figuarts Taro Sakamoto – Bandai Collectibles/ Tamashii Nations
Sakamoto Days was a breakout hit in 2025, as Netflix brought the anime stateside. Bandai and Tamashii Nations immortalized the greatest assassin in the world turned family man with their S.H. Figuarts line. This figure of Mr. Sakamoto is amazing- from the soft plastic apron to the various expressions, this is exactly the figure I was hoping for.
Mythic Legions -Legendary Barbarian (Traveling Convention Exclusive) – Four Horsemen Studios
Four Horsemen Studios always hit it out the park with their line of medieval/fantasy themed action figures but this Legendary Barbarian seems to have been hit out the park so hard it hasn’t stopped!
This awesome savage comes with the great detail and articulation the Horsemen are known for and the accessories for this guy just take it to a new level.Aside from the wide array of weapons and hands and such, Legendary Barbarian comes with what I believe is the coolest Mythic Legions accessory to date, an alternate head that resembles a Frazetta styled hero with alternate swappable hair pieces that allow you to make Conan or my favorite, He-Man!
I found myself buying multiples of this guy just so I can have both. I mean who doesn’t want Four Horsemen renditions of two of Fantasy’s mightiest heroes protecting their toy shelf!
MDLX Transformers Optimus Prime (Sleep Mode) – ThreeZero
ThreeZero makes some of the best non-transformable Transformers on the market- and this year we got one of the coolest variations of Optimus Prime- Sleep Mode. Like as in, the big sleep. This highly detailed, highly articulated figure brings to life (or death) that iconic moment that scarred a generation. The MDLX line is one of my favorites, and this greyed out Prime has to be one of the best releases of 2025.
Beasts of the Cenozoic- 1/18 Scale Woolly Mammoth- Creative Beast Studio
Creative Beast Studio has always had my money every since their wildly popular Beasts of the Mesozoic line of highly detailed articulated dinosaur action figures, so when I found out a few years ago they were launching a Kickstarter for their Beasts of the Cenozoic line of prehistoric elephant figures I had to be on it.
Well fast forward to 2025 and those Kickstarter Woolly Mammoth figures shipped to us right before the holiday season so it’s a no brainer that huge 1/18 scale Mammoth made my list of top action figures.
With all the great articulation and detail Creative Beast is known for, there’s no need to address the elephant in the room: ‘Cause it’s most certainly in my room!
Marvel Legends -Gamerverse Juggernaut- Hasbro
Hasbro has given us some great Juggernaut figures in recent years in their Marvel Legends toy line, be it a huge Build A Figure version or the even better version that came in that 2 Pack with Colossus, you know, that one that came with the battle damaged alternate helmet. Life seemed perfect.We had a big bulky Juggernaut figure, big like he was in the Capcom fighting games, and with great articulation.
Well the Gamerverse version we just got in 2025 just Juggernaut head rushed that one out the water! Now we get the exact Juggy from the Marvel Vs Capcom fighting game in all his massive articulated glory. Say no more.
We cannot wait to see what 2026 brings us!
