Wacom Set to Inspire the Next Generation of Anime Artists at Anime Expo 2018
Anime Expo’s Wacom booth (#8C) and panel room (403AB) in the Los Angeles Convention Center will be the fun and educational places to be at 2018 Anime Expo, July 5 to 8. Famous Anime and Manga artists as well as young talents will discuss digital creativity, drawing skills and the best equipment to support their art in several panels (see schedule below). For example, there will be a couple of panels on creating Manga with a Wacom tablet and the software Clip Studio Paint® by Celsys®. Panel presenters include Yayao Yuying, creator of the Hmong culture inspired series called “Jingku,” currently running on GlobalComix, as well as Natalia Batista, well-known for authoring and illustrating “A Song for Elise.” In addition, Wacom will present Dreamworks® TV Animation Directors Eugene Lee, Chris Palmer and Rie Koga in an engaging presentation on the making of “Voltron: Legendary Defender. The audience will be treated to live drawing on a Wacom Cintiq creative pen display and the opportunity to receive some cool illustrations.
Anime Expo attendees are invited to the Wacom booth to test the latest versions of Wacom’s graphic tablets and displays, particularly Wacom Intuos Pro, Wacom Cintiq Pro and Wacom MobileStudio Pro. Partnering with Celsys, visitors are also invited to learn from artists using Clip Studio Paint and to join the daily Manga contest with a chance to win an Intuos tablet and software.
