Zombieland: The Amazon TV Series?

Oh dear.

Check out the trailer for the new Amazon produced series Zombieland, which is, of course, a spin off from the successful film outing a few years back. It looks like the name is back, the rules are back, and that is about it… The pilot to the series will be available for free soon over at Amazon.

The Zombieland pilot has the original creative team on board, but none of the actors. Instead we get a new slew of actors: Tallahassee (Kirk Ward), which really doesn’t make sense to me, Wichita (Maiara Walsh), Columbus (Tyler Ross) and Little Rock (Izabela Vidovic).

I really liked the film, its up there as one of the most enjoyable films I have seen in years. But this trailer, it doesn’t do it for me. Maybe if they had started with an all new cast of characters, but it is going to be hard seeing these people as the cast we all knew and loved. Will I check it out? Of course, but my hopes aren’t very high.
