Doctor Radar #1 Review- Thrilling and Refreshing

What an amazing start to this new Titan Comics Series! Doctor Radar #1, written by Noel Simsolo, with artwork from Bezian, is a complete thriller from start to finish. A 1920’s setting, a murderer on the loose, and an eager detective ready for the hunt; it kind of sounds familiar right? Well it definitely does NOT feel like that at all as the story progresses.

There’s so much going on, every single panel has something new and exciting to offer. A lot of times, it’s hard to be completely original while still crafting a story that hooks the reader. I think this is one of those issues that does the trick. There are a bunch of moving pieces to the story that add to the originality and make the story feel fresh and stand on its own. To add to that, the art is so unique, and it gives the issue a unique feel of eerienes and excitement that make it enjoyable.

Detective Straus is hot on the trail of Doctor Radar throughout the issue, and the ending is just as thrilling as everything else in the story. I’m sure Issue #2 will be just as thrilling. You won’t want to miss out!
