Bullies are everywhere, and the negative, long lasting effects bullying can have are immeasurable. Nobody wants to be bullied around and made to feel left out, made to feel horrible. Chris and Amy Hernandez’s latest children’s book puts the focus on anti-bullying in a creative and artistic way.
You may remember Chris and Amy from their debut book, Jack and the Zombie Attack. That book was the first Kickstarter project I ever spotlighted, and went on to be a great success, and was a hit at last year’s San Diego Comic Con. Well, the dynamic duo is back with the second book, Jack and the Pirate Attack. Here is some info directly from their Kickstarter page:
We’ve lived and learned! After the successful release of our first book, “Jack and the Zombie Attack”, we’ve decided to self publish our second book in the series “Jack and the Pirate Attack”. Once again we have chosen a moral to be faced and a lesson to be learned. This is not just a book, it’s an anti-bullying campaign! What better way to learn about the effects of bullying, than from the most notorious bullies in history…pirates!
Now is the time to show your support and help make Jack and the Pirate Attack a reality! I know Chris and Amy have worked tirelessly on this book, and you can see that in the quality shown in the previews the Kickstarter page showcases. Bullying is something that should be on everyone’s mind, and this book helps to tackle the issue in a fun, creative manner. So go check out their Kickstarter page at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1486566848/jack-and-the-pirate-attack and look for a interview with the two in the near future, right here on Pastrami Nation.
