Mickey Rourke is Marv Once Again for Sin City-A Dame to Kill For

Most people think Marv is crazy. He just had the rotten luck of being born in the wrong century. He’d be right at home on some ancient battlefield swinging an axe into somebody’s face. Or in a Roman arena, taking his sword to other gladiators like him…

Mickey Rourke, who has been everywhere in the last few years, is reprising one of my favorite roles for him: Sin City’s Marv according to Deadline. Marv is tough as hell, but he is far from a hero, or even a good person. 2005’s Sin City remains one of my all time favorite films, and definitely one of my favorite comic book adaptations. From the mind of Frank Miller, Sin City is the gritty, the ugly, and real… not what most would think of when they hear the words “comic book”, but that’s the beauty of it. Comics can be about ANYTHING, there is no genre, no limit: which I hope many of my reviews have shown.

A Dame to Kill For goes into production soon, with a release date of October 2013.
