With the online live action series, Ninjak Vs The Valiant Universe, hitting next year, there is no better time than now to get acquainted with the deadliest man in Valiant. With Ninja-K #1, Valiant gives the spotlight to Colin King once again, but this time, the ninja takes the spotlight as well.

From writer Christos Gage, artist Tomas Giorello and colors by Diego Rodriguez, we get a look at the Ninja program, starting with designate Ninja-A, decades in the past. It is awesome to see the Ninjas throughout the years, and to see their evolution to current Ninja, Ninja-K, also known as Ninjak.

Giorello illustrates such a beautiful issue here. It is a perfect showcase for the Ninja program, and for one of Valiant’s premiere characters. Gage creates a story here that is easily accessible to new readers, but even more rewarding for fans of the franchise. To see Ninja-D and his interactions with Colin, and to see where this is headed, it makes for an excellent start to the new series.

Ninja-K gives Ninjak the well-deserved spotlight, and adds new depth to one of Valiant’s best.
