Action Figure Review: Action Force Desert Rat

Growing up, one of my favorite G.I. Joe figures was Dusty. Being from the desert, I loved his gear and color scheme- it set him apart from the other characters. With this exclusive figure, we get a new desert-themed soldier thanks to Valaverse- Action Force’s Desert Rat. Big shout out to Valaverse for the review opportunity!

If you aren’t familiar with Valaverse, you are missing out. Their 1/12 scale Action Force line gives us a cast of characters that would fit right into the G.I. Joe universe. The figure comes in red, white, and blue packaging, similar to the previous Sgt Slammer exclusive, and comes with quite a bit, including a vest, backpack, interchangeable hands, two guns, and a display stand. The figure boasts a very detailed and original head sculpt and a fantastic vest with a Union Jack insignia. The details on this figure are outstanding- from the gun holsters to the details in the pants and the tremendous desert color scheme; this is a terrific figure. With the vest and backpack, the articulation isn’t hindered at all, which allows for tons of posing opportunities.

I like the look and feel of the Action Force line- they feel like upgraded, deluxe versions of G.I. Joe’s. Desert Rat is leading the pack for me regarding the Action Force line. This is a fantastic figure and one that would fit into any 1/12 collection. I can’t wait to see what the next waves for Action Force will include- perhaps some more villains?
