Stan Lee’s Los Angeles Comic Con Flys Into Los Angeles

By Nolan P. Smith

As fans flooded Los Angeles starting Friday, they attended the show with a brand new name. Now known as Stan Lee’s Los Angeles Comic Con, the convention is packed with fan favorite celebrities, comic book creators, pop culture icons, convention exclusives and more.

Taking over the Los Angeles Convention Center, Stan Lee’s Los Angeles Comic Con has plenty to offer. First and foremost, the man himself, the father of Marvel Comics, will be on hand for the newly christened con in his name, Stan “The Man” Lee. The con boasts a who’s who of the comic book industry, with Deadpool co-creator and Image Comic’s Co-Founder Rob Liefield, Image Comic’s Co-Founder Marc Silverstri, the iconic painter/artist Joe Jusko, comic book legend Neil Adams, and more.

Guests of Honor include pop culture icon Dita Von Teese, Flash Gordon himself, Sam J. Jones, Supernatural star Rob Benedict, Candice Patton, star of the CW’s The Flash and more. The dynamic duo will be on hand as well, as Burt Ward and Adam West will join Julie Newmar and Lee Meriwether for a Bat-tastic reunion at the con. Cary Elwes, star of the cult classic The Princess Bride, will be on hand as well. Celebrities scheduled for the show include the villainous Zoom from the CW’S The Flash, Teddy Sears, the YouTube sensations from The Hillywood Show, and more.

If you are a collector, then make sure to visit the Hot Topic booth at the convention for a chance to scoop up two exclusive Funko Pop collectibles: a glow in the dark She-Hulk and a chrome Colossus. These are the last Pop figures that will feature the old Comikaze logo on them, sure to be a collectible item down the road.
