E3 Expo 2013 Starts Tuesday!!!
(Los Angeles)—Tuesday marks the first day of what is sure to be a controversial and surprise filled Electronic Entertainment Expo, better known as the E3 Expo.
With the recent announcements of Microsoft’s X-Box One and Sony’s PlayStation 4, all eyes will be on the trade only event to see if either company can do what they need to do most right now: shine. Both systems have had more on an emphasis on being an entertainment hub than a video game system, which has many hardcore gamers worried. Another factor that the world is watching is that of the used video game market, and if the birth of the next generation of systems signals the death of the used game industry.
While Microsoft and Sony slug it out for best new system of the year, Nintendo has to find a way to keep it’s head above water, as they released their new system, the Wii U, last year. Nintendo will have a scaled back presence this year, which is a departure from last year’s showing, which had a sprawling set up that showed off the Wii U.
Of course, what is the E3 Expo without games? Many will look once again to Activision as it shows of the new Modern Warfare title: Ghost. Ubisoft will be showing the newest addition to the Assassin’s Creed franchise, as well as the game that had everyone talking: Watch Dogs. What publishers will take advantage of the new hardware coming this year has yet to be seen, but from what has been shown, the possibilities look promising.
