Entertainment Weekly Supersizes At Comic-Con 2013
NEW YORK, NY (July 10, 2013) – Entertainment Weekly is exploding onto the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con scene with more elements than ever before to create the ultimate talent destination at the pop culture extravaganza. For the first time ever, Entertainment Weekly will team up with Entertainment Tonight, the #1 syndicated entertainment newsmagazine and will also air interviews and live programming, including Dalton Ross and Jenna Morasca’s morning show on Entertainment Weekly Radio, on SiriusXM (channel 105) in an expanded media space at the EW Photo and Digital Studio at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego. It will be a one-stop shop for the leading stars in TV and film to promote their upcoming projects to fans.
In addition, Entertainment Weekly will once again bring fans comprehensive live streaming video coverage of the fest. EW’s livestreaming video will provide fans with intimate access to the pulse of the city, a close-up look at the memorable costumes superfans wear, and a window into the after-hours action that makes Comic-Con such a unique event. Viewers can also get in on the live action while EW’s illustrious writers interview the TV and film industries’ biggest names in the EW Digital Lounge.

This year also marks the debut of an EW Comic-Con free special collector’s issue which will be the must-have, must-read guide for the passionate, engaged and influential Comic-Con attendee. The issue will be enriched by EW’s unparalleled access to the biggest movies, TV shows, games and comics at the festival, showcase the biggest trends, and create buzz on the most exciting projects Hollywood has to offer. And don’t forget to pick up EW’s sixth consecutive Comic-Con preview issue, on newsstands July 12. The annual issue is jam-packed with sneak peeks at some of the most highly anticipated TV shows, movies and comic books, and serves as a great resource for fans that might not be able to make it to San Diego.
Hyundai will be the Presenting Sponsor of Entertainment Weekly’s Comic-Con coverage across all platforms. The sponsorship features multiple in-book covers, a cover buy-out of EW’s Comic-Con free special collector’s issue, and Hyundai branding of the EW.com Comic-Con hub on desktop and mobile. Plus Hyundai will have on-site activation at the EW Digital Lounge and the exclusive naming rights that will integrate their logo into all editorial video.
No Comic-Con experience would be complete without EW’s legendary closing night party on Saturday evening. The poolside fete will once again take place at Float at the Hard Rock Hotel and will attract some of Hollywood’s biggest film and television talent and industry luminaries in a celebration of all things pop culture.
