For those that haven’t seen it, the new Captain America- Civil War trailer is out, and it has a cameo by a certain, classic costumed webslinger. The latest trailer has dropped and has not disappointed. The trailer is below if you haven’t seen it yet.

Here’s my breakdown of the highlights of the trailer:

Spider-Man- Let’s examine the web headed elephant in the room first. Spider-Man makes his first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and does so in grand fashion. The classic, smaller eyes on the mask looks terrific, even if the suit does look a little animated and CGI’d. Icing on the cake? Spider-Man line: “hey everyone”- delivered like a shy, out of place high school kid-exactly who Spider-Man is! Plus, that Romita design of the mask- dare I say, Amazing? The suit looks like it was something Tony created- very sleek, very modern. I am ready for the next Spider-Man!

Ant-Man and Hawkeye- Who didn’t love the classic nod to the comics seen with Marvel’s premiere archer and the smallest hero on the roster? Seeing Ant-Man aboard an arrow that Hawkeye just fired off was a jaw dropping scene, one that should have comic fans everywhere smiling.

Another showdown- We have all seen glimpses of the fight scene between Iron Man, Cap and Bucky. With this new trailer, we see Iron Man and Captain America facing off in a far more tense and emotional way. This could be the beginning of the end of the Avengers as we know them, and what a glorious way to go.

Black Panther- Every time I see a new clip with the Wakanda King in it, I light up inside. The Black Panther is poised to make such a huge impact in the Marvel Universe, and it looks like he will be able to go toe to toe with the best of them. Rightfully so, as the Black Panther has been such a major character in the Marvel Universe for some time now, and should be ranked right up there with the best the Marvel U has to offer.
