THE NACELLE COMPANY’S ICONS UNEARTHED DOCUMENTARY SERIES PICKED UP BY VICE TV FOR SECOND SEASON DEDICATED TO THE SIMPSONS

The Nacelle Company, the studio behind The Movies That Made
Us, The Toys That Made Us, A Toy Store Near You, Down To Earth with Zac Efron and Behind The Attractions is excited to announce their new anthology documentary series, Icons Unearthed, has been picked up for a second season by VICE TV. This time, the Burbank-based diversified media company will shine a spotlight on the iconic American television series, The Simpsons.

The second installment to the Icons Unearthed documentary series is directed by Brian Volk-Weiss (The Toys That Made Us, The Movies That Made Us, Behind The Attraction), and features exclusive and candid interviews with a plethora of writers, actors, directors and network executives, including Bill Oakley, Rich Moore, Jon Vitti, Mimi Pond, Doug Benson, Todd McFarlane, Garth Ancier, Phil Roman, Jennifer Howell,
and more.

Icons Unearthed: The Simpsons takes viewers on a road trip to Springfield, USA, to uncover exclusive, previously unknown, and surprising stories sourced directly from the filmmakers, actors, and crew members who made The Simpsons one of the most beloved families on television.

Nacelle’s previous installment in the Icons Unearthed anthology focused on Star Wars, and included interviews from Marcia Lucas, Anthony Daniels, Billy Dee Williams, Paul Hirsch, Phil Tippett, Rick Baker, Ken Ralston, John Dykstra, Howard Kazanjian, Julian Glover, Ian Mcdiarmid, Gus Lopez, Tom Spina and many more.

The Icons Unearthed documentary series is executive produced by Brian Volk-Weiss, Cisco Henson, Ian Roumain, Alyssa Michek and Ben Frost. Pete Gaffney, Falguni Lakhani-Adams, and Andrea Brakke oversee the project for Vice TV.
