WonderCon 2013 is Coming to Anaheim This Weekend!
By Jason T. Smith-Pastrami Nation
(Anaheim) This weekend, superheroes, actors, comic book creators, and more invade Anaheim as WonderCon returns to the city once again.
Held at the Anaheim Convention Center beginning March 29th and spanning over the entire Easter Weekend, WonderCon is a comic book/pop culture convention from Comic Con International, the same company that also hosts the San Diego Comic Con and the Alternative Press Expo. The convention is usually held in San Francisco, but last year the Moscone Center was undergoing renovations, so the convention was brought to Anaheim, and due to scheduling conflicts this year, it has allowed the convention to once again take up residence in in the city known for the Anaheim Ducks and Disneyland.
WonderCon brings with it some very special guests, especially for those who are familiar with the creators in the comic book industry. Guests include comic book legend Jim Lee, Jeff Smith (the creator of the award winning Bone series), author Dean Koontz, and more. Programming includes premieres of the new animated feature, Superman Unbound, from Warner Bros Entertainment, as well as screenings of the CW series Beauty and the Beast as well as a screening of the new NBC series, Hannibal.
With comic book companies, artist’s alley, video game companies, autograph signings, as well as the well-known masquerade and more, WonderCon is sure to have something for all.
