Wrestlemania 31 Predictions

It’s that time once again for the “grand daddy of them all”, Wrestlemania. WWE’s premiere PPV is touted as the “Showcase of the Immortals”, and for great reason. For over 30 years, it has been the event to showcase the best and brightest the WWE has to offer, and has elevated superstars from regular status to main event material. This year, there are tons of matches to be excited about, so let’s run down the card and throw in some predictions:

PRE SHOW

Andre the Giant Battle Royal

According to the WWE website, these are the entrants so far:

Out of these superstars, I would like to say the winner will be Jack Swagger, but they just don’t seem to push the All-American like I think they should. So I am going with… Damien Mizdow!

Tag Team Title Match- Cesaro and Kidd vs New Day vs Los Matadores vs The Usos

For me, this is easy, we get retaining champs, Cesaro and Kidd. Why? Because, pound for pound, they are the best wrestlers in the match. This is their time to shine, let’s see what the Swiss Superman and the Dungeon’s last pupil have in store for the grandest stage.

WRESTLEMANIA 31

Intercontinental Title Ladder Match- Ziggler vs R-Truth vs Ambrose vs Stardust vs Barrett vs Harper vs Bryan

This should be a show stealing match when you look at the talent involved here. This is a hard match to call, as I have many favorites all battling it out. But, I will say the winner will be… Dean Ambrose. Time to elevate him once more to the status of a “go-to” guy in the WWE.

Divas Tag Team Match- The Bellas vs Paige and AJ Lee

I think Paige and AJ got this one. Nothing against the Bellas, their in ring skills have grown tremendously over the years, but Paige and Lee are on a different level… if they can cooperate.

US Championship Match- Rusev vs Cena

Now, for this match, I think it has to be Cena taking the win. Why? They have been building and building the NXT brute for months, having him squash talent after talent. If there was ever a time for the build up to matter, its at Wrestlemania. Unless Rusev wins and someone else comes to put an end to him… but who? My money’s on Cena.

Undertaker vs Wyatt

This, to me, is an easy one to call. This could be a passing of the torch when it comes to the strange, dark character in the WWE. We all know the legend, The Undertaker, is close to retiring. I am a huge fan of the Taker’s, but same goes to Wyatt. I think this is Wyatt’s time to shine and show everyone he can hang with the big dogs. Just please don’t let it be the “American Badass” Undertaker. Nobody wins there.

Orton vs Rollins

Another tough match to call. Orton is still in amazing shape and can easily be a strong face role for the WWE going forward. Rollins has shown his ability to rise to the occasion time after time. It’s a tough one, but I’m going with Rollins. I didn’t sell out… I bought in.

Heavyweight Title Match: Lesnar vs Reigns

Who beats the Beast Incarnate? I am going out on a limb and saying it’s going to be Reigns. Obviously, the WWE sees Lesnar as their #1 heel, face destroyer, and why wouldn’t they? He’s a monster, and a blast to see in the ring. I think Roman takes the belt and begins a longtime feud with the BROCK LESNAR (in my best Paul Heyman voice).

Sting vs. Triple H

This is it, the big one. Sting was the one main wrestler that didn’t come on board to the WWE, and I know everyone is looking forward to seeing the Stinger compete at the WWE’s finest moment of the year. How will the match be? I don’t know, I don’t know how Sting’s in ring ability has held up throughout the years. But for me, it doesn’t matter, Sting takes the win and shows everyone why he was the headliner for Ted Turner’s WCW. Triple H knows how to carry a match like no other, so he is the perfect guy to be in there. But I’m going with Sting.
