There are always imaginative, creative projects on Kickstarter, but this one is of importance to the pop culture universe, as well as a way to see the triumph of the human spirit.

This Kickstarter is about the mighty Chewbacca himself, Peter Mayhew.

The 7′ 3 man that brought Han Solo’s right hand man to life in the Star Wars films is looking to stand on his own two feet again. Mayhew was born with Giantism, which has made for some health concerns throughout his life. He has needed a cane to assist with walking, but now he will be undergoing a series of surgeries to replace both knees and allow the gentle giant to stand on his own two feet once again.

The Kickstarter project will show Mayhew through this massive undertaking. I can’t think of a better Kickstarter project to support. Check it out, support what you can, share with everyone.
