Rugrats: R is for Reptar 2018 Special #1 Review

By LeAnn Doornbos

Being a child of the 90’s, it should be no surprise that my first comic review had to be Boom! Studios “Rugrats: R is for Reptar 2018 Special” written by Nicole Andelfinger, with art by Esdras Cristobal and an outstanding cover by Savanna Ganucheau.

If you’ve ever watched Rugrats on Nickelodeon growing up, let me tell you, this comic will bring you back to all those memories of sitting in front of the TV on a Saturday morning watching your favorite babies and the adventures they take.

The comic takes place in the living room of Stu and Didi Pickles. The power had gone out so Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, and Lil are left in the dark with Grandpa Lou, Angelica, and Susie while Stu Pickles attempts to figure out how to get the lights back on. During this time, Grandpa Lou decided to tell them a story to pass time. As soon as Lou leaves the room, the babies imaginations all go wild and they take turns sharing their own stories of the great Reptar.

If you want to be taken back to your childhood and have a fun, easy read then I would definitely recommend this comic. I can’t wait to read what they will come out with next!
